This is one of those scenes in the Bible that beg to be made into a Hollywood blockbuster...I mean imagine the special effects!
What is really awesome though is seeing the power of God at work! Having said that I'm not sure Liverpool council would appreciate a demonstration like that at the next Guerilla worship. Is our faith big enough to accept that God can work like that if need be?
And if He is capable of that how much more is He capable of doing the small things in our lives...if it is in His plans!
For me at this time I feel I need to spend my time listening to God and trying to work out His plans for my life....that way I can stay close to His path. I get quite jealous of people like Elijah because God mapped out his life for him...having said that I'm sure Elijah spent many a day crying out to God just so that he knew he was following God's plan.

I've always loved this story because Elijah is very much an underdog in this story but his faith proves to the others that God is the one god. I hadn't realised they massacred all the other prophets, why did this happen? It seems a bit harsh, although I suppose anybody would change their mind after that show... ? I dont' know what to think about that bit
